Whether you have a scientific, engineering, technical or administrative profile, our job offers are open to all graduates (BAC to BAC+ 8 level) and are spread across our Guyancourt (OVSQ campus) and Paris (PMC campus) sites. .
LATMOS is recruiting mainly in 3 Branches of Professional Activities (BAP) covering the fields of engineering sciences and scientific instrumentation (BAP C), computer engineering, statistics and scientific computing ( BAP E), as well as management and administrative steering (BAP J).
This section will present the positions offered for recruitment of contractual and permanent staff (via the terms of external CNRS competitions and our university supervision UVSQ and SU).
Here are some examples of typical profiles offered by our laboratory for each of these BAPs:
you must have defended a thesis (3 years) and apply for the CNRS competitions.
it is also necessary that the UFR or OSU on which the laboratory depends, open a position with a dual research and teaching mission. It is also possible to apply to the CNAP with an observation mission in the atmospheric or astronomy field.
It is possible to prepare a doctoral thesis (3 years) in the scientific fields covered by LATMOS, both on thematic and technical aspects. Financing can be very diverse. Funding can be granted by one of the doctoral schools (University) to which the laboratory’s researchers belong (ED127, ED129, ED SMEMAG). This selection is made between the months of May to July but contacts with the laboratory must be established well before. It can also come from a foreign university, an exchange program, organizations such as CNES, or schools (Ecole Météo, Ecole Normale, etc.). In this case, you have to do it well in advance. It can also come from the financing of projects granted to the laboratory extending over a period of at least 3 years within the framework of the ANR, Europe, labex, or DIM (in the region). Finally, for theses of a more technological nature, a CIFRE grant can be financed by an industrialist wishing to carry out upstream research in collaboration with the laboratory.
Finally, the laboratory welcomes many trainees, particularly in Masters or engineering schools. In this case, you must contact researchers or engineers individually according to their area of expertise. It is possible to propose topics but it is preferable to draw inspiration from the topics proposed in previous years and not hesitate to discuss its exact outline.
